“I decided to start working with Van at the start of this year on all aspects of my game. I have always respected him as a player and admired how dedicated and professional he is in his approach to the game.

I wanted to learn off someone who had been there and done it at a very high level. As we all know the long game is just one part of golf, I wanted to learn more about the other parts of the game that I haven’t given as much time as I should have over the years, such as the Mental side, the short game, course strategy, tournament preparation & putting. In a short space of time I have learn’t a lot in all these keys areas and can see my game improving.

Van keeps things very simple, his knowledge is second to none and gets the message across to his student incredibly well. I love his enthusiasm and his genuine will to want to improve every student he works with.

I would recommend anyone to have a lesson with him, you will learn a lot and I guarantee he will improve your game.”

“I was lucky enough to grow up playing junior golf at the same course as Van around the time he was flourishing on tour and won the Portuguese masters. Watching him practice on his weeks off always caught my attention as his dedication and focus was unmatched. When he turned his hand to coaching it was a simple decision for me to ask for his guidance. I have never met somebody with such an expansive knowledge of the game as well as the personal experience to go with it. Throughout working with Van I undoubtedly took my game to the next level as a player winning my first ever professional tournament as well as competing in The Open Championship in 2009. I have no hesitation in recommending Van to anyone, in fact I would go as far to say that if you are serious about improving your golf then he is without doubt the man to help you”

“I’ve known Van since 2012 when I took my 13yr old son Alfredo to him for lessons. Alfredo was always talented and was playing off 6 hcp at the time, but under Van’s guidance he progressed tremendously, and was soon playing off scratch.

He was invited to join the England boys training squads as well as winning both the Faldo series for his age group and the Veritas  World under 15 championship on the Eisenhower Course, Industry City, Los Angeles. He then followed that by winning the Surrey Under 15 title.

Having been a winner on the European Tour as well as a PGA qualified coach, I think Van can really explain the all important connection between physical skills and the mental application required to perform when you have to, in tournaments.

If your serious about getting better I would recommend you see Van for regular lessons.”
